KFC Will Pay You to Name Your Baby Harland

KFC is promising $11,000 to the first baby named after Colonel Sanders and born on his birthday.

For all of you parents out there wondering how you’re ever going to pay for college for your kids, KFC has an intriguing offer for you. But there are a couple of catches, as you might expect.

As a birthday gift from the Colonel and KFC, the first baby born on September 9th and named Harland will receive $11,000 (in honor of KFC’s 11 herbs and spices, of course!) to go towards their college education.

Hey, at least the name is unique. According to the U.S. Social Security Administration, the name “Harland” ranked #3,257 on the list of most common baby names for 2017.

It’s a great name for your baby. Just say it out loud. Harland. Plus, your greatly named kid could get $11,000 for college.

Should you be about to give birth and willing to consider KFC’s offer, starting on Sept. 9, you can submit the name, date and time of your baby Harland’s birth along with your contact information on www.kfc.com/babyharland .

The site will be live for 30 days, giving parents time to adjust to the newest addition to their family. Obviously you actually have to name your baby Harland to qualify, and they’re going to check to ensure that the winning child was in fact (among those who entered) the first Harland born on Sept. 9, 2018.
